He was an active member of his church and involved in the FFA, the NRA, Farm Bureau and countless other organizations over the years. His proudest legacy was raising his son, Jaret and helping him achieve his dreams. He led countless FFA contest teams to state and national competitions winning multiple times at both the state and national levels. He was the FFA advisor and agricultural education teacher at Bakersfield before retiring at Summersville after a 28-year career. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education before obtaining a master’s degree from the University of Missouri.
